Opening of the Global Entrepreneurship Week
On 15 November 2010, the Polish edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week was inaugurated and in front of the CBF building the first Polish Mobile Business Incubator was opened.
The celebration was honoured by the presence of the President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski.
The essential part of the inauguration took place in hall A (former Gomułka's office). The meeting was chaired by the editor-in-chief of the TVN CNBC station, Roman Młodkowski. Opening the panel discussion, Professor Leszek Balcerowicz mentioned the barriers discouraging from running a business, namely high taxes, corruption and monopolies. The Professor also explained that entrepreneurship is limited by socialism, but also that not every type of capitalism makes entrepreneurship easier. He also noticed that Poland has a big potential as for this type of business activity.
At 3 p.m. the President of Poland officially opened the first Polish Mobile Business Incubator - a standalone construction in which people will be able to achieve information on running one's own business and also actually start it within the framework of the project "The Road towards Entrepreneurial Poland". The location of this event - the yard of CBF - was not accidental, since this particular building is a symbol of economic transformation processes in Poland of the last 20 years.
